Rakht Chritra 2 directed by Ram Gopal Verma is a sequel of his previous release Rakht Chritra. Based on the life of Andhra Pradesh politician Paritala Ravindra, Rakht Charitra 2 is not as good as the first part. The film has a lot less violence than its first part.
The films trace the life of Pratap Ravi (Vivek Oberoi). While the first part was about his rise, the second part is about how his enemy Surya (Surya) takes revenge. What Pratap did to Suriya that makes him want to kill him is what Rakht Charitra 2 is all about. Bhawani (Priyamani) plays Surya's wife. All the other characters are the same as the first part.Rakht Charitra 2 marks the entry of Surya (famous South Indian actor) in Bollywood. He wasn't part of Rakht Charitra. So, Rakth Charitra 2 is Suriya's debut in the Hindi film industry. Ram Gopal Varma continues the revenge saga in second part that he started in first part. This is perhaps the first time in Bollywood that a single story is broken into two parts by the same director. And both parts have released in quick succession, which is a praiseworthy effort indeed.Performance wise, Vivek Oberoi is perfect. Surya is top-notch. He leaves a terrific impression in his first ever Hindi outing. He delivers a flawless performance displaying varied range of emotions. Priyamani as Suriya's wife is first-rate. Zarina Wahab is does not have much scope. Radhika Apte is brilliant.On the whole, Rakht Charitra 2 is a revenge drama that highlights the emotion called vengeance most convincingly. Its only Surya's breath taking performance which makes the film watchable otherwise the film lacks the punch of Rakht Charitra. Do watch it for Surya only.Released on 03 Dec 2010.

Rakta Charitra directed by Ram Gopal Verma is not just a film, its a most violent film of Hindi cinema so far. Ram Gopal Varma once again presents a gritty tale, full of bloodshed after his previous films Satya and Company. The film is based on a true story and not for those who are weak hearted.
Narasimha Reddy is a powerful politician in Aanandapuram of Andhra Pradesh. He is a reasonable guy and he wants to distribute the power that is dominated by Reddy's to another group that is economically backward. He asks his lieutenant Veerabhadrayya (Rajebdra Gupta) to take over the responsibility of nominating candidates from the other caste.
Nagamani Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao) who don't like the other caste people to come up poisons the mind of Narasimha Reddy. Hurt by the sudden turnaround of Narasimha Reddy, Veerabhadrayya starts his own faction to contest in elections. In the process Narasimha Reddy kills Veerabhadrayya and his elder son Shankar (Sushant Singh). Pratap Ravi (Vivek Oberoi) who is never interested in the disputes has no option left now but for wage a war against the family of Narasimha Reddy.
The rest of the story is all about how he fights and kills the family members of Narasimha Reddy and how he climbs up the ladder to become an alternate system using the political support given by Shivaji Rao (Shatrughna Sinha).
Performance wise, Vivek Oberoi is perfect for his role. He is super efficient. Shatrughan Sinha is remarkable. He enacts his role with amazing ease. Abhimanyu Singh is brilliant. Rajendar Gupta and Sushant Singh are okay. Radhika Apte is fine. Ashwini Kalsekar is excellent. Zarina Wahab is top notch. Sudeep and Darshan Jariwala are wasted. Ashish Vidyarthi, Anupam Shyam, Sushmita Mukherjee, Vishwajeet Pradhan and Kota Srinivasa Rao shine in their respective parts.
On the whole, Rakta Charitra is an extremely violent film. The film is actually for those who love to watch aggression, violence, bloodshed and brutality on the silver screen. Strictly not recommended for families, women, children and those who are faint-hearted.
